**Course Description**

Probability and Statistics includes the concepts and skills needed to apply statistical techniques in the decision-making process. Topics include: 1) descriptive statistics, 2) probability, and 3) statistical inference. Practical examples based on real experimental data are used throughout. Students plan and conduct experiments or surveys and analyze the resulting data. The use of graphing calculators and computer programs is encouraged.

* The student will utilize essential algebraic concepts to perform calculations on polynomials expressions.

* The Student will solve and graph linear equations/inequalities and systems of linear equation/inequalities.

* The student will solve, graph, and interpret the solutions of quadratic functions.

* The student will solve, graph, and analyze solution of polynomial functions.

* The student will manipulate rational expressions, solve rational equations, and graph rational functions.

* The student will solve logarithmic and exponential equations.

* The student will perform operations on matrices.
